专利说明:
[0001] The invention relates to an exhaust gas outlet device of a diesel-type internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, comprising a gas exhaust duct towards the outside of the vehicle arranged downstream of a catalytic gas after-treatment system, the duct comprising a nitrogen oxide (NOx) detection probe and means of protection of the probe located downstream of the probe. Diesel motor vehicles generally comprise an exhaust gas outlet device from the engine. As represented in FIG. 1, the exhaust gas outlet device comprises an outlet pipe 10 comprising, upstream, a catalytic exhaust after-treatment system 12 intended to clean up the gases, in particular by reducing the presence of compounds such as nitrogen oxides (NOx). Downstream of the post-treatment system 12, a probe 14 is disposed in the pipe 10. The probe 14 is intended to detect the presence of nitrogen oxides (NOx) downstream of the post-treatment system 12. The pipe 10 is extended by a curved end portion 16, for bringing treated exhaust gases to the outside of the vehicle. A disadvantage of this type of device is that since the probe is disposed near the outlet of the exhaust pipe, water may enter the interior of the manifold through the opening. 16. This can happen in case of rain or when washing the vehicle for example. The water then rises in the tubing 10 and may reach the probe 14, which may cause damage or malfunction of the probe 14. The active part of the probe 14 is indeed composed of ceramic, which makes it very sensitive to thermal shocks, especially those caused by splashing water. In order to overcome these drawbacks, the subject of the invention is an exhaust gas outlet device in which the probe is protected efficiently and simply. For this purpose, the invention proposes an exhaust gas outlet device of the type mentioned above, characterized in that the duct comprises, downstream of the probe, an external flap able to pass, under the sole effect of the flow of exhaust gas from a closed position of the outlet port of the conduit to an open position of the outlet port of the conduit, so that the probe is protected from splash water from the outlet port of the duct. According to other features of the invention: the valve is a flap external to the duct mounted to rotate about a transverse axis carried by the duct between its closed position in which they extend in a vertical plane in view of the outlet of the conduit and its open position in which it extends substantially horizontally so as to clear the outlet. - The shutter has the shape of a disc having an inner face facing the inside of the duct when the shutter is in the closed position of the orifice and an outer face facing outwardly of the duct, and comprising a first arm whose one end is fixed on the outer face of the flap 20 and a second end is connected to a free end of a second arm via a transverse axis, an end of the second arm opposite its free end being carried by an outer upper portion of the duct wall and the first arm being oriented in a substantially longitudinal plane. The flap diameter is substantially equal to the diameter of an end flange of the duct extending radially outwardly from an edge of the outlet port. - The valve comprises a weighted rod oriented upwardly in a substantially longitudinal plane and having a first end connected to the transverse axis and a second free end, opposite to the first end, which is provided with a mass, the rod ballast being adapted, from a high position to a low position under the effect of gravity, to allow the tilting of the flap from its horizontal open position to its vertical shutter position. - The length of the rod is adjustable. - The device comprises a limit stop of the displacement of the weighted rod 5 downstream, disposed on the second arm carried by the conduit. - The stop is a square. - The positioning of the stop is adjustable by means of at least one screw. Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear on reading the description of embodiments of an exhaust gas outlet device with reference to the appended drawings, in which: FIG. perspective of an exhaust gas outlet device according to the state of the art. FIG. 2 is a perspective view of an exhaust gas outlet device comprising a valve according to the invention, represented in semi-open position. - Figure 3 is a side view of the device of Figure 2, the valve according to the second embodiment being shown in the open position. - Figure 4 is a front view of the device of Figure 3 in the open position. - Figure 5 is a side view of the device of Figure 2, the valve according to the second embodiment being shown in the closed position. FIG. 6 is a front view of the device of FIG. 5. In the description which follows, we will take a nonlimiting reference to a longitudinal, vertical and transverse orientation indicated by the trihedron L, V, T of FIGS. 1 to 6. Identical or similar elements are designated by the same reference numerals. As shown in FIG. 2, an exhaust gas outlet device 20 coming from a diesel engine (not shown) comprises a duct 22 having an upstream end 220 connected to a catalytic after-treatment system. exhaust gas and a free downstream end 222 having an outlet opening 26 allowing gases to be exhausted to the outside of the vehicle. The duct 22 is substantially rectilinear and of circular section of diameter Dl. A probe 28 for detecting compounds of the nitrogen oxide (NOx) type is disposed in the duct 22, downstream of the post-treatment system and near the outlet opening 26 of the duct 22. outlet opening 26 of the pipe, a valve 30 is disposed outside the pipe. As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6, the valve 30 is a flap pivotally mounted around a transverse axis A between an open position in which the outlet opening 26 is disengaged and a closed position in which the outlet opening 26 is closed. The valve 30 is a disk whose diameter D2 is substantially equal to the diameter of an end flange 32 of the duct 22 extending radially outwardly from the edge of the outlet orifice 26. The valve 30 presents an internal face 30int turned towards the inside of the duct 22 when the valve is in the closed position and an opposite external face 30ext turned towards the outside of the duct 22. The support means of the valve 30 comprise a first support arm 20 34 has a first end 34a secured to the outer face 30ext of the valve 30 and a second free end 34b opposite the end 34a. The first arm 34 forms a right angle bend. When the valve is in the closed position, the first arm 34 extends in a substantially vertical plane. The support means of the valve 30 also comprise a second support arm 36 having a first end 36a carried by an upper portion of an outer face of the wall of the conduit 22 and a second end 36b opposite the first end 36a. The second arm 36 is fixed and extends in a substantially longitudinal plane. The ends 34b and 36b are integral with each other via the transverse axis A, the first arm 34 being able to pivot about the transverse axis A. The device further comprises a weighted rod 38, oriented along a longitudinal plane and having a first end 38a firmly fixed to the transverse axis A and a second end 38b free, opposite the first end 38a, provided with a mass 40. L transverse axis A is covered by a support piece 42 of the weighted rod 38, the part 42 having an orifice 44 adapted to receive the first end 38a of the rod 38. The length of the rod 38 can be adjusted according to the depression of the rod 38 in the orifice 44. The holding in position of the rod 38 is provided by an axial screw 46. The orientation of the rod 38 can also be adjusted according to the angular positioning of the piece 42. The rod weighted 38 is able to allow the passag e of the valve 30 from its open position to its closed position, under the effect of gravity, when no flow of gas is emitted from upstream to downstream. Thus when the valve 30 is in the open position, the weighted rod 38 extends upwards, and the flap 30 is kept in equilibrium under the effect of the passage of the exhaust gas flow. In the absence of gas emission, under the effect of gravity, the weighted rod 38 is then driven down due to the presence of the mass 40, which causes the rotation of the flap 30 around the transverse axis A from its open position to its closed position. The device also comprises a stop 48, carried by the second support arm 36. The stop 48 is intended to limit the movement of the weighted rod 38 upstream. The stop 48 has the shape of a bracket whose positioning in a longitudinal direction can be adjusted by screws cooperating with oblong holes formed in the bracket. Thus, the exhaust gases from the aftertreatment system 12 move in the pipeline in the direction of arrow F1 from upstream to downstream, and are then exhausted to the outside of the vehicle, passing the flap 30 from its closed position to its open position by rotation about the transverse axis A. When the flap 30 is open, the only presence of the flow of gas emitted from upstream to downstream in the direction of the arrow F1 prevents upwelling in the opposite direction. When the flow of gas is no longer emitted, the flap 30 returns from its open position to its closed position, which prevents the passage of water inside the pipe in the direction of the arrow F2. The water can not go up through the outlet to the probe. [0002] The device according to the invention has the advantage of protecting the probe simply, efficiently and inexpensively while offering the possibility of reducing the length of the pipe. Indeed, in the state of the art it was necessary to extend the pipe so that the probe is sufficiently far from the outlet to be protected from splashing water while our invention has the advantage of allowing the reduction of the length of the pipeline since the probe is protected by the shutter 30 regardless of the length of the pipe.15
